The Holiday Season

The last few weeks we have been busy with Christmas Parties and Shopping. Collin is becoming a pretty good shopper as long as you go down a toy isle a let him pick out a toy to play with in the shopping cart. Aunt Kelly and cousin Parker gave Collin a snow globe which he loves to dance too. We are having so much fun watching Collin these past few weeks. He loves everything about the holidays. We can't wait till Christmas morning to see his reaction to Santa's gifts.

Thanksgiving Break

It was so nice to be off a whole week with Collin over the Thanksgiving break. We had a lot of fun spending time together with family and friends. Collin helped me decorate the house by taking down my decorations as I put them up. We went to ranch and Collin loved the cows. He learned to say MOO!! When Poppie came back with his deer he shot, Collin was a little confused. He is used to feeding them in our front yard and not watching them get cut up.

Time To Update The Blog

Well it's been a while since I have posted anything on here. Let me give you a little update on our life. We sold our house back in August. Moved in with my parents for a little over a month and now we are all moved in to our new home. We love it!!!!!!! We have more room for Collin to play and a big backyard for the dogs. October was a busy month for us. We had 4 birthdays in the family. Collin's birthday turned into a nightmare for us. We celebrated on his birthday by going to dinner with the grandparents on Thursday. Saturday we went to the neighborhood park for trick-or-treating around the lake. Collin loved dancing to the music and watching all the people dressed up. On, Sunday morning the day of his big party, Collin woke up with a fever. He was very fussy. We took him to the ER to be told that its was nothing to worry about and just give him some Motrin. At 3:30, 30 minutes before his birthday party he became so upset and fussy that I took his temperature and it was 103. We got back in the car and took off for the second trip to the ER. On the way we called the 40 guest who were pretty much already at our house to tell them that we would not be having the party. This time the doctor said that he had the flu and they gave him tamiflu. He seemed to have good days and bad ones for the next week. That Thursday we took him back into the doctors because he now had a rash all over his body. This time we were told he did not ever have the flu and that it was Hand and Foot virus. After cloroxing my house we finally were able to have his birthday party the following Sunday. He had so much fun with his gifts and eating the cake. He was the happiest little boy ever!!! Here are a few pictures taken over the past few months.

Big Foot

Collin unfortunately has feet just like me; his mother. They are short, wide, and fat. I have been looking for a good pair of shoes for him to wear now that he is trying to walk. I finally found some wide tennis shoes that fit him. At first he was not sure what was on his feet but then decided that since they were to hard to take off that he would just continue to play with them on. He now looks like a little boy and not a baby when he wears them.

Mr. Puff

I introduced Collin to Puff's a few weeks ago. He was not to sure what to do with them at first but now he loves them. They are the perfect treat to take to mall when shopping. They seem to keep him quite. Today he finally figured out how to pick them up on his own and put them into his mouth. Now if I can just teach him to eat one at a time and not a handful.

Trying To Stay Cool

It has been so hot here and of course if we stay out in the heat to long, Collin gets heat rash all over his body. So we have been spending a lot of time in the baby pool. Collin loves splashing around and he thinks its funny when Bud gets into to pool with him. After we have had enough of the pool, we go inside and Collin cools off with a bottle of yummy milk. Collin thinks that he is now big enough to stand and hold his bottle all alone.

Bath Time

As you can see Collin loves to be in the bath. He usually cries when we take him out. Collin now has two bottom teeth and he working on he two top teeth. That is why he has the duck, stuck in his mouth.

Fourth of July

For the Fourth of July we headed to the lake. Collin is now crawling and getting into everything. He likes to think that he can walk, but when he tries he usually ends up falling. We normally have 1-2 bruises a week on our head. My mom and I joke about how he needs a helmet. Collin enjoyed swimming, like always. This time he was able to swim with Hailey and Parker. Hailey is a month older than Collin. They were so cute together.

Father's Day

For Father's day, Collin and I took Rodney to breakfast then we headed off to the Fort Sam Quadrangle to feed to animals. Collin loved the deer. He tried to smack on on the face when it was eating out of Rodney's hands. He wasn't to sure of the peacocks, but liked when they made lots of noise. We had a great day with the best dad in the world.

Family Vacation to South Padre

We headed to South Padre for a week. It was a great trip. We celebrated my birthday and Collin's first time to the beach. He loved the water and sand. We couldn't keep him out of it. While there Collin started pulling up on everything and trying to creep around holding on to the couch. He loved spending the week with his cousin Parker. They became great beach buddies.

Getting This Blog Started

I have been putting this blog off for a long time. I have had it made but just have never posted any thing on it. So here I go. Let start back a few months ago when Collin started to crawl for the first time. Collin has been scooting around for a few weeks and doing the army crawl. Tonight Rod and I decided to keep him up till 9:00 hoping he would sleep in. In doing so we were playing on the floor and Collin decided he was going to crawl. It was so cute. He just took off after the new toy that we had bought him that day at Toys-R-Us.
